|---|---|---|
| Which leave dates connect my rostered-off blocks? | Shift Worker Annual Leave Optimiser | Tests leave blocks across a repeating calendar. |
| How many shifts or hours are scheduled in a year? | Annual Shift Hours | Counts work positions and applies the entered shift length. |
| My pattern is exactly WWWWOOOO, DDNNOOOO or the defined 2-2-3 sequence. | Use the matching direct planner | Starts with the intended preset and explains its specific cycle. |
| My employer uses a different sequence. | Custom Rota Optimiser | Accepts a repeating cycle up to 42 positions. |
A pattern such as WWWWOOOO describes the order of work and off positions, but it does not say where you are in that cycle today. The anchor date assigns a real calendar date to the first symbol. Moving that anchor by one day moves every suggested leave date by one day.
WWWWOOOO and DDNNOOOO both contain four work positions followed by four off positions, so they can produce the same break length. The second version retains day and night labels because those labels matter when checking an overnight duty against an employer roster.
The tools model the calendar pattern entered. They do not calculate statutory entitlement, interpret a contract or predict approval.
